The Summer Georgia Virtual Credit Recovery program allows eligible students to earn up to 2.0 units of credit during the summer. If a student wishes to enroll in the program, click here to complete the interest form and an LHS counselor will contact you. Completion of the form does not automatically enroll the student in GAVCR. Counselors will enroll eligible students. For additional details, visit the form page.

Summer School Program Application Now Available

In preparation to meet the needs of students who require summer remediation and/or enrichment, the summer school program application is now open; click here for details. The deadline for students to register is Monday, June 1, 2020.

All credit recovery efforts for high school students will be via FLEX Restore and/or GAVS if FLEX Restore does not offer the course. Local high schools will not host summer programs in June.

VIRTUAL FLEX Academy Restore:  June 1 - 26, 2020

Program Director:  Ms. Keatra Wright

Level:  Grade 8 and Grades 9-12

High school students (grades 9-12 and grade 8 if taking high school course) are eligible to recover credit for courses failed during the school year. Students who do not successfully complete these courses or fail to login daily may be dropped from the course.

FLEX Restore classes will be held June 1 - 26, 2020. Students may take up to two courses (2.0 units). These courses are not approved by NCAA.

Parents/guardians must register their children for summer learning opportunities through June 1, 2020, on the DCSD summer school webpage.

Please note that the Summer Learning Planning Committee is partnering with the Division of Information Technology to provide devices for student usage throughout the summer.
