LHS Red Ribbon Week Theme Days


Lithonia High School Red Ribbon Week is October 26-30! Join Lithonia High School Red Ribbon Celebration Week Microsoft Team with this join code yw5lyn5. Please participate (Teachers & Students) in our Red Ribbon Week theme days to raise awareness about the importance of saying no to drugs and to get in a drawing for a Gift Card.

  • Monday 10/26: “Proud to Be Drug Free”:  Post a picture of you wearing red to celebrate our commitment to staying off drugs and help kick-off Red Ribbon Week!

  • Tuesday 10/27: “Family is better than drugs”- Post a picture of family fun.

  • Wednesday 10/28: “Team Up Against Drugs”- Post a picture of you wearing your favorite sports shirt or jersey.

  • Thursday 10/29: “Heroes are drug free!”-  Post a picture of you wearing a hero themed shirt or outfit.

  • Friday 10/30: “Don’t Huff, Don’t Puff. Keep away from that stuff!”- Post a picture of a drug free themed face mask or shield. 

 
LHS Red Ribbon Week TikTok Contest

October 26-30 is Red Ribbon Week! This year’s theme is Be Happy. Be Brave. Be Drug Free. Staying drug free means investing in your current and future health. You don’t have to use drugs to fit in. There are other ways to belong. Celebrate your uniqueness and show it to the world. Create a 2-minute or shorter video using the Red Ribbon Week theme, Be Happy, Be Brave, Be Drug Free, for a chance to be LHS's Red Ribbon Week Champion and win a $75, $50, and $25 gift card courtesy of your HPE Department. Create and upload your TikTok video October 26-29 at this link:  https://flipgrid.com/lhsredribbonweek and join code: lhsredribbonweek. (WARNING: your videos need to be school appropriate or they will not be posted.) Students must sign-in to FlipGrid using their student email (s#@dekalbschoolsga.org). The student body will cast their vote on Friday, October 29, "Your Voice Your Vote." The winner will be announced on Monday, November 2. Lithonia High loves our students and we want you to lead happy, healthy, fun, and wonderful lives.

 
Free and Reduced Meal Applications
All students seeking free and reduced lunch for the 2020-2021 school year are asked to submit a new application to receive meal benefits. Complete the online application at www.schoolcafe.com. The application process takes 10-15 minutes to complete. A paper application can be obtained at one of the curbside meal production sites and returned to any site. Student Chromebooks and Virtual Learning Support
LHS currently has a very limited supply of Chromebooks. Students still in need of a Chromebook must email Assistant Principal Ms. White, tashina_g_white@dekalbschoolsga.org. For all tech support, including password resets, call the DCSD Help Desk 678-676-1188 or complete this online form, https://www.dekalbschoolsga.org/virtual-learning-support-ticket/Students should not go to LHS for any reason unless they have scheduled an appointment.

Attention Lady Bulldogs Basketball Players!
